Description
Spend a day exploring hidden gems of São Miguel Island, away from the big crowds! The island of São Miguel is beautiful everywhere and offers a lot more to see besides the most famous attractions.
From little-known curious rock formations on the coast, to ample views from mountain tops, or the native vegetation deep into the island, this tour goes to many surprising places that are not part of the main tourist itineraries.
Tour in comfort by 9-seater minibus in a small group led by an expert guide. Drive through the quiet farmers roads of the inner island, surrounded by forests and green pastures. Some places require short walks to enjoy the views.
This tour is a great complement to our São Miguel West and São Miguel East van tours, if you wish to keep exploring the island more in depth, after seeing the main highlights.
Meeting Point
Pick-up free of charge from Ponta Delgada, Lagoa and Ribeira Grande towns. Please provide a pick-up location in one of these areas.
Pick-ups start at 9:00 in Ponta Delgada and not before 9:20 in Ribeira Grande. Please allow some time to get to you, as we may have multiple pick-ups and you may not be the first on the list.

- Warm clothes and raincoat (weather conditions change quickly in the Azores and are worse at high viewpoints)
- Sturdy shoes (tour requires short walks on ground floor)
